Tuleste Market had its roots planted in the fall of 2007 in New York City. The collection was founded and is designed by the sister act of Satu and Celeste Greenberg who were born and raised in rural Seiad Valley situated on the western coastline of Northern California. California, long-known as a mecca for vintage clothing collecting, inspired Satu and Celeste to begin shopping and observing vintage glamour at the onset of high school.

The girls scoured thrift-stores in the region for unique pieces they could modify and rework, transforming the pieces (and themselves) into a modern voice with an original sensibility. To this day all Tuleste Market product is inspired by this process. This love of vintage drove the sisters to travel around the world visiting an array of international cities known for style, culture, and a zest for life. Wherever the duo went they amassed a carefully edited wardrobe of timeless vintage pieces.

The sisters eventually settled in NYC and started working for some of the worlds premiere fashion magazines, and word began to spread of their impressive vintage collection and designers, creative directors and editors began approaching them about using their archive as a source for their own design inspiration.

The designers are inspired by women of all ages and lifestyles and mostly by their love of making something old look not only new, but fresh and modern as well as accessible to all women. They look to women in films that have an intriguing, timeless quality as those from directors Michelangelo Antonioni and Jean Luc Godard; the fashions mirroring their family during their childhood from The Monterey Pop Festival; and of course, friends and the diversity of living in Manhattan and other cosmopolitan cities dotted around the world.

Tuleste Markets jewelry collections are comprised of multi-functional pieces that can be worn in a multitude of ways: necklaces can be linked together, long or doubled, and can even be worn as belts. Multiple looks can be created with a single piece of jewelry giving women the opportunity to maintain their own sense of individuality. This versatile approach to accessorizing provides a woman with value, getting multiple looks out of one piece of jewelry.

The duo received recognition from the fashion industry when they were named finalists for the 12th Annual Fashion Group International Rising Star Award in the Accessories category. Their jewelry was used in the Derek Lam Resort 2010 presentation and look book. Satu and Celestes combined experience includes editorial stints at Elle Accessories, W magazine, and Vitals magazine; retail experience at Jeffrey New York and Giuseppe Zanotti; as well as fashion show production and casting for Derek Lam, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera among others. Most recently Tuleste Market was signed to Creative Artist Agencys (CAA) new fashion division.
